KBS FM Set to Bring Olusoga Mpuku 2026 to Life with Star-Studded Line-Up in Kamuli

KBS FM 105.9 is gearing up for the grand finale of Olusoga Mpuku 2026, promising a major celebration of Busoga’s culture, music and entertainment on August 30, 2026, at Kamuli Municipal Grounds.
The event, themed “Olusoga Mpuku Gumite Che Che Kule,” was officially launched on May 17 at the KBS FM station in Kamuli, bringing together musicians, media personalities, cultural supporters and other stakeholders who are backing the return of the cultural competition.
During the launch, the chairperson of Olusoga Mpuku, Naika Latifu, gave a background of the initiative, which began in 2022. He explained that the 2025 edition was interrupted before completion because of several challenges, meaning contestants who had already been nominated will continue their journey in the 2026 competition.
According to the organizers, the 2026 edition will resume from the second phase of the previous competition, while also introducing additional activities, including sports and other competitive engagements intended to make the program more entertaining and increase community participation.
The grand finale is expected to attract a wide range of music lovers, with some of the region’s popular musicians and entertainers set to grace the event.
The musical line-up includes Gravity Omutujju, Kabako, Hassan Nduga, B2C, Malagala, Tough Sojja, Uncle Hoe, Roo Ya Simba, Emmax Basta, Horse De Master, Kim Nana, Tinah Baiby, King Sanya, Bad Quta, Gen Nalufenya, Land Sojja, Vespa Music, Spark Bombers and Brother Rooney, among others.
The event will also feature comedy and online entertainment personalities, including Tata Kimbowa, Kimbowa and Mama Kimbowa, who are known for their presence on TikTok and social media entertainment.
With such a broad line-up, the organizers are positioning the grand finale as more than just a competition, but as a major entertainment gathering bringing together music, comedy, culture and community celebration.
During the launch, the KBS FM management also emphasized the importance of giving young people opportunities to participate in cultural and media activities.
The station highlighted the contribution of young media personalities, including Harry Kovic, a KBS FM presenter known for his entertainment programming. Kovic hosts the “Friday ChaChancha” show every Friday from 10PM to 2AM, featuring music mixes, celebrity interviews and entertainment discussions.
Selector PW, another KBS FM DJ and presenter, was also recognized for his contribution to the station and its youth-oriented entertainment programs.
The station's management encouraged more young people to participate in Olusoga Mpuku and other community initiatives, emphasizing that the creativity and energy of the younger generation can play an important role in the development of Busoga's cultural and entertainment industry.
The much-anticipated finale will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Kamuli Municipal Grounds, commonly associated with Kamuli Mukisaaye.
Entry is set at UGX 10,000 for ordinary tickets, while tables go for UGX 300,000, VIP tickets UGX 20,000, and VVIP access UGX 500,000.
Fans who may not be able to attend physically will also have an opportunity to follow the action online through the announced TikTok live stream: "kbsfm_endhubayaife", with online streaming also advertised through Zenofm/KBS FM 105.9.
With music stars, comedians, TikTok personalities and cultural activities all coming together, Olusoga Mpuku 2026 is shaping up to be one of the notable entertainment and cultural gatherings on the Busoga calendar this year.
For fans across Kamuli and the wider Busoga region, August 30 will be a day to celebrate music, culture, talent and the spirit of togetherness under the banner “Olusoga Mpuku Gumite Che Che Kule.”
