Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone has declared that he is no longer just a local musician, pointing to his performances across several African countries as evidence of his growing international reach.

The veteran singer made the remarks while promoting his upcoming Chameleone Unlimited concert, highlighting how his music career has expanded beyond Uganda to reach audiences across East, Central and Southern Africa.

Jose Chameleone Highlights His International Music Career

Chameleone says his musical journey has taken him to several countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to the singer, these international performances demonstrate the growth of his career and the recognition he has gained beyond Uganda's borders.

He contrasted his experience with that of some Ugandan musicians whose popularity, in his view, remains concentrated in particular parts of the country.

“Local musicians are big stars in Kyankwanzi, Butambala, Koboko and neighbouring places,” Chameleone said, commenting on artists who have built strong followings in specific areas.

His remarks highlight the difference between having a strong regional fan base and developing an audience across multiple countries.

Chameleone Unlimited Concert Set for December 2026

The singer has continued to promote his highly anticipated Chameleone Unlimited concert, which is reportedly scheduled for December 4, 2026, at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.

However, the concert date and venue have previously been subject to changes, so fans are advised to follow official announcements for the latest confirmed details.

The upcoming show is expected to be an important moment for the veteran musician as he continues to connect with his Ugandan fan base while celebrating his wider African music journey.

Jose Chameleone's Connections Beyond Uganda

Chameleone has also spoken about his international connections, including invitations extended to Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Burundi President Évariste Ndayishimiye to attend his concert.

At the time of the original report, neither president had confirmed whether they would attend the event.

The singer's comments reflect his ambition to position himself as an artist whose influence reaches beyond Uganda and into the wider African entertainment industry.

As preparations for Chameleone Unlimited continue, attention remains on the concert and the singer's efforts to maintain his status as one of Uganda's established music stars.
