Ugandan band musician Carol Nantongo has revealed that she has no plans to stage her own concert in the near future, choosing instead to focus on releasing more music and growing her catalogue. Speaking in a recent television interview, Nantongo explained that she is not in a hurry to enter the concert scene.

She wants to give her fans more music and build a stronger body of work before eventually holding her own show. “I don’t plan to stage a concert in the near future. It is not something I am considering at the moment.

I want to continue giving my fans music. The concert will come later, but I am not rushing it,” she said.

Nantongo’s decision comes as several female musicians, including Vinka, Spice Diana and Juliana Kanyomozi, have staged successful concerts and strengthened their presence in Uganda’s live music scene. For Nantongo, however, the focus remains on her music.

She appears determined to take her time, release more songs and build a solid connection with her audience before making her concert debut. Her approach suggests that when the time eventually comes for her first major concert, she wants to have enough music and a strong fan base to make the event worthwhile.
