Kataleya and Kandle form Uganda’s first prominent female music duo. Signed under Theron Music in 2021, the fast-rising Afrobeat and dancehall group consists of best friends Hadijah Namakula (Kataleya) and Rebecca Robins Nabatuusa (Kandle). They are known for popular hit songs like "Muzibe wa Love", "Do Me", and "Tonafuya".Background and FormationKataleya: Born Hadijah Namakula on December 19, 1999. She studied at Apostolic Primary School in Mengo and Noah’s Ark in Lubaga. Before music, she worked in a restaurant.Kandle: Born Rebecca Robins Nabatuusa on February 22, 1998. She attended Bunamwaya CoU Primary School and Kyambogo College School. Before music, she sold men's clothes.Meeting: They met at a birthday party through a mutual friend, bonded over a shared love for music, and started hustling together in the entertainment industry.
