Lord Fred Sebatta (born October 17, 1950) in Mukono, Uganda, is a legendary singer, songwriter, and pioneer of the Kadongo Kamu ("one-beat") music style. Famous for socially conscious and narrative-driven lyrics, he rose to fame in the early 1980s and founded the renowned Matendo Band.
